Red Shoe FAQs
Red Shoe 5K is an annual celebration of family, fundraising, and awareness for Ronald McDonald House Charities Hawaii. Participants walk a 3.1 mile course around and through Ala Moana Shopping Center before the Mall opens for most businesses.
All monies raised through the Red Shoe 5K event stays at the Ronald McDonald House in Hawaii to keep families together at a time when it’s needed most. We are committed to providing essential services and a home-away-from-home for families from Hawaii and the Pacific with seriously ill or injured children getting medical treatment on O’ahu.

The registration fee per in-person participant is $35. Children under 5 years of age are FREE. Virtual participants are $45. All donations are tax deductible. If you have any questions regarding tax deductibility for your particular circumstance, please consult with your tax advisor.
There is no fundraising minimum. We hope that you will consider fundraising to help provide families caring for a sick child with a home-away-from home. Plus, if you fundraise $100 or more as an individual and you will receive an official Red Shoe 5K t-shirt!
Yes, you can customize your personal and team fun-raising pages with your own pictures and reasons why you are participating and fundraising. You may customize your page at any time by logging in and clicking Participant Center to Customize your Page.

Yes, strollers are allowed. The walk features a comfortable course at Ala Moana Center that will include sidewalks; ramps that provide access for pedestrians, strollers, and wheelchairs; and 4 escalators. There are elevators near the escalators.
We do not offer a place to check belongings.
